Ooh, forgot to mention that in the last week I’ve seen ‘The Ringer’ starring Jack Ass’s own Johnny Knoxville, ‘The Whale and the Squid’ and ‘Junebug’.

To cut a long review short (as I’m in work & will be killed if I’m caught doing this), The Ringer was excellent, Johnny actually acted but totally outshon by the special needs actors he was playing along side.  If you want a good laugh I recommend it.

The Squid and the Whale is uncomfortable at times due to the storyline being about a divorce and how everybody in the family is affected by it, but really worth a watch.  There are some cringworthy moments and some utterly hilarious ones.  One of my favourite quotes is, “I read that book your recommended…”, “…Yeah, it’s just so Kafka-esque?…, “…That’s cause it’s written by Kafka!”  Awesome.  And Junebug is a really beautiful and simple film about a well educated woman who is going to meet her inlaws in hicksville for the first time.  It is both tender and tragic and highly recommended.  Enjoy!
