UGC (sorry!) Cineworld Gestapo

Posted on Sunday 28 May 2006

Ok so went to see two Indie movies on friday night and I am positive that the UCG (sorry) Cineworld staff have read my previous post on the lack of staff presence during Slither as there was an abundance of staff presence that night..

The problem with the scenario is that there were no neds, or talkers during these films, (oh they were The King and Friends with Money).  Why oh why were they not in other popular films such as X-Men or the Da Vinchi Code doing crowd control or whatever. ANyways, there was a wee dude in the row in front who had his feet on the back of the seat at one point during The King, and a small skinny Cineworld dude approached him and gave him an extremely loud verbal warning right in the middle of the film!  I was beside myself with laughter as I’m sure the skinny staff member staggered under the sheer weight of his power drunk noggin as he went back to his observer spot at the entrance of the screen.

The dude in front decided to be a rebel and put his feet back on the seat and to my amazement got a SECOND verbal warning, even louder this time from the little dude.  Seriously!!  There is something wrong with the balance of staff presence in the screens.

Has anyone else noticed?  Or is it just me?!? (which wouldn’t surprise me)
